$10.0 million (Phase 1 – 10 MW)

Project Overview

The Solar Energy Project is the foundation of MARBA’s sustainable operations. Strategically located in southern Nevada, this utility-scale solar plant provides clean, zero-emission electricity to power MARBA’s vertical farming, EV charging, and recycling facilities — while also feeding excess energy into the California and Nevada grids through structured Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Key Specifications

  • Installed Capacity: 50 MW (Phase 1)
  • Annual Output: ~9,300–11,200 MWh
  • Panel Specs: 10,885 mono-crystalline PV panels (460W each)
  • Land Area: Over 2400 acres secured, 15 mi from Las Vegas
  • Grid Connection: CAISO-compliant, with export to CA/NV markets

Environmental & Economic Benefits

  • Avoids up to 11,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually
  • Eligible for federal and state clean energy tax incentives
  • Generates tradable carbon credits for reinvestment
  • Stable long-term income via Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
  • Supports energy independence across all MARBA operations
